A St. Elizabeth, Jamaica high school has started a Consumer Affairs Club to help their youth become responsible, aware consumers. I wish I had a class or club geared toward analyzing consumer culture in high school. Many of the people I graduated with could have used it too since several of them spent a few weeks in Jamaica after graduation and came back looking like caricatures of Rastafarians.
