Review: Tastier than Trader Ming's Peanut Noodle Salad, Oyama's Cilantro-Lime Noodle salad makes for a slightly more fulfilling and equally affordable lunch.

The fresh noodles in the bowl are accompanied by the occasional strand of a carrot that looks as if it were processed through a play-doh meat grinder very slowly. These carrot strings bring a crunchy texture to the otherwise moist noodles.

In two small plastic cups, are the toppings for the noodles: crushed peanuts and the Ginger Cilantro-Lime dressing.

I scooped the bright green dressing - that reminds me of fluorescent pesto - onto the noodles, microwaved it, then gave the entire dish a crunch by drizzling the peanut bits over my meal.

The lime flavor was dominant in this dish, and that's not a bad thing. I enjoyed each citrus-filled bite, and at 12 oz., the dish filled me up enough to cover my low-calorie burning work activity of punching ISBN numbers into a computer.

A worktime warning though! Shortly after eating this dish, I felt extremely tired. Further investigation is required to see if this was due to the noodle dish itself or my early pilgrimage to Trader Joe's.

I'll keep you updated.
